Age classes this year will be arranged as follows:
Entrants in Championship classes should have orienteering experience, otherwise enter Standard or Novice classes.
All Control Descriptions will be in text format except for Senior Boys & Girls Championship which shall be symbols format.
Orange (Advanced)
Features route choice with prominent attack points near control sites and catching features within 100m behind.
Control sites may be small point features, and markers may not always be visible from the attack point.
Navigation requires basic contour interpretation, rough compass use, and limited distance estimation.
Yellow (Intermediate)
Control sites are located on or near (<50m) linear features such as tracks, fences, streams, or distinct vegetation boundaries.
Offers the option to follow handrails or take shortcuts, providing limited route choices.
Compass use is limited to basic directional navigation, with no contour reading required—though simple contour features may be used as control sites.
White (Beginner)
Courses strictly follow linear features (tracks, fences, streams, vegetation boundaries).
Designed for beginners and first-time participants, requiring no advanced navigation skills.
Depending on numbers more or less courses may be offered.
